Leaves are traditionally considered somewhat toxic. For that reason, the National Institute of Ayurveda and the Indian Ministry of Health do not allow leaves or stems in ashwagandha products used in Ayurvedic and Indian Pharamcopoeia.

With ashwagandha’s rise in popularity we have seen a decline in quality among many manufacturers who are using leaves, stems, and other cheap fillers to cut costs.

Each ashwagandha plant begins as a non-GMO seed, and it grows on a farm that has been certified organic. That means our plants are not exposed to pesticides, antibiotics, and other harmful elements as they grow.

Plants retain the elements they are exposed to during the growing cycle. Ensuring that our plants grow in organic environments means ensuring that our products don’t come with chemicals that could cause you harm.

Balanced, Powerful Doses

Ashwagandha has been used for more than 2,500 years. As a result, there are plenty of studies available about potency, uptake, and bio-availability.

Traditionally the dosage’s used in Ayurvedic medicine are 1g to 2g of the root (1000 to 2000mgs) taken up to 3 times daily. Over the years the ashwagandha extraction process has improved and today’s ashwagandha is more potent.

Our ashwagandha contains 1.95 grams (1950mgs) of pure organic ashwagandha root, we used this dosing because the overwhelming studies and scientific journals show ashwagandha root powder is most effective when taken at 1500-2000mgs range.

We also rely on our medical team to tell us if other ingredients can help with bio-availability or make our ashwagandha more potent. That’s why we have added 15mgs of black pepper extract to our product. Our team points to studies that demonstrate pepper’s ability to help with faster, more effective absorption.
